Roto-Rooter Boss on MSNBC's Your Business
Roto-Rooter's president and COO, Rick Arquilla, best known for captivating viewers onUndercover Boss, will offer up sound business advice on the Sunday morning MSNBC program, Your Business. The program airs on Sunday, August 25th at 7:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. If you’re not a morning person and can’t watch it live, be sure to set your DVR to record the show.
Rick Arquilla’s interview was taped at Roto-Rooter’s Cincinnati service branch on July 16th and is part of a segment called Learning from the Pros in which successful executives from iconic American businesses serve up tips and advice to entrepreneurs and small business owners.
As the segment points out, Roto-Rooter may be the world’s largest provider of plumbing repair and sewer & drain cleaning services today, but this big company had very humble beginnings in 1935 and it owes its staying power and success to smart business decisions made by its founder, Samuel Blanc, and the hard-working plumbers, employees and company leaders who followed.
Since Roto-Rooter’s episode of Undercover Boss aired the first time in April 2010, the show has aired in repeats on CBS, the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN), The Learning Channel (TLC) and in syndication around the world. Each time the program airs, Rick Arquilla receives fan mail from viewers who became inspired by him and Roto-Rooter. In fact, in December 2012, CBS Television asked Undercover Boss viewers to choose their top three favorite episodes of the series in an on-line poll then pledged to air those episodes back-to-back during prime time on December 28, 2012. The Roto-Rooter episode was picked and the fan mail for Arquilla began pouring in once again. Roto-Rooter hopes Undercover Boss fans will enjoy this opportunity to see Rick Arquilla again in a different TV forum.
MSNBC’s Your Business will repeat the Rick Arquilla / Roto-Rooter episode on Saturday, August 31st at 5:30 a.m. EST. to give viewers a second chance to watch. Your Business is the only TV show dedicated to issues affecting small business owners and is hosted by JJ Ramberg, a regular contributor to NBC’s TODAY Show.
